Gosselin Divorce, NOT Jon’s fault!

To the person who said God never designed men to walk out on their wives. You are right, He did not. Divorce is not God’s design at all. One marriage counselor put it this way. Are you going to go through the pain for a little while to get to the other side or are you going to endure and create pain for everyone for ever? Divorce creates pain for everyone forever. The only side we have is Kate’s. Kate is the only one who ran to the media after filing for divorce on Monday. I find it hard to believe Jon is the one who asked for divorce. If she did not want it, then why didn’t she wait for Jon to file? Second, PA rules for divorce are a bit tricky. If the divorce goes uncontested, it goes through pretty quickly. But if they do contest it, which she said she thought Jon might, then you have to wait 2 years for the divorce to be finale unless you can prove you have already been apart for 2 years. So why if Jon is the one who wanted it, was she 1. the first to file and 2nd afraid he might contest it? Why also, have the documents sealed so no one could supposedly know what was happening and then go straight to People magazine to tell “Your side” of the story and start throwing out blame? How does that help anyone? How does that help the kids that one day they will see that Kate said daddy wanted it and wouldn’t fix the marriage? Kate is still to this day doing what she always has, trying to put a spin on something that plays her out to be the victim and innocent. Why? So the show keeps going on! That is exactly the first thing she said when asked what happens now..the “Show must go on?” Yes it must because God forbid she stop and take the time to be with her kids and give them all her love and devotion. Why..that would mean she wouldn’t be getting freebies! It would mean she would have to stop spending on herself and save for the children’s future!
I do not believe Jon ran out on his kids, he may have asked for the divorce but if Kate didn’t want it, she didn’t have to file. She could have contested it and given it time to workout. Seriously..when has the women done what Jon has asked or wanted easily over the last 5 seasons without a fight?! If ONLY she had been willing to stop the stupid show!
