Seriously??!! Just when you think Jon and Kate can NOT stoop any lower, they have proven one thing and one thing only..they WILL find a way!!
It has been reported over the past week that Jon and Kate Gosselin have been attacking Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. For those of you who DO NOT know who the Duggar’s are let me clue you in. They are the loving, Christian family from Arkansas. OH yea..they also have 18 children and their first grandbaby due anytime.
Former Jon and Kate staffers have been giving interviews saying how Jon and Kate love to trash the Duggars. Calling them, Geeky, Weird, Fake?! Saying they just can NOT be that happy, they can not be that normal?! To me this is all very childish, very high school but leads me to a very deeper issue.
Agree or not with how the Duggar’s have chosen to raise their large family, they are indeed followers of Christ. Here is the thing, I thought Jon and Kate were as well?!! Being a Christian, brings joy, true joy. The kind that lasts despite any circumstance you maybe going through. Michelle is also reaping the rewards of following God’s plan for marriage, allowing her husband to be the one and only leader and her be his helpmate. Any Christian knows being in God’s will for your life, brings joy, peace, happiness and protection. Jon said it best in the season opening “Life is about choices” and Jon and Kate have made some really horrible choices over the past years. Choices to exploit their children for the love of money. Choices to make a mockery of the sacred coven of marriage. Choices to smear Christianity instead of give it the light and platform that they so professed and wrote about in their first book. With those choices comes consequences. And right now, Jon and Kate are very much reaping those consequences and unfortunately so are their precious little children. I’m sure those sweet children will pay the price for their parents for years to come. I could be wrong, but I do not believe for a second that was EVER in God’s plan.
Kate and Jon, leave the Duggars alone. Don’t let your jealousy of their joy, peace, and happiness, bring down and taint another family. I myself am not sure I could do what Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar do. Home school, how the girls dress, little tv, things like that. But I do not look down on them or think they are weird for doing it. They are doing what they believe our Heavenly Father has asked them to do. There really are people out there who love the Lord with all their hearts, mind and strength just as He has commanded. That does not make them geeky, boring, or fake. It makes the GODLY!
